Jeffery Lewis on Android I'm able to copy text to the Rivian app.

You can pull up any address in your phone and then text it to the Rivian app and it'll auto-populate on the nav system. You can do it from anywhere (don't need to be in your R1) and by the time you open your door, it'll be up on the nav screen.
Just choose the share function in your phone and instead of texting it, just share to the Rivian app

Matthew Sun how in the world do you text to an app?
Trevor Mack
Jeffery Lewis: from Google Maps, yelp, or Apple Maps you can "share to Rivian" and select your vehicle to share the address with.

Jeffery Lewis Type an address in your maps > After the location pops up, next to the address or name of location in maps app > hit the square with the arrow next to it on right > top row is people you’d text it to, row beneath that is a bunch of apps. If your Rivian app isn’t in there, scroll right and click the three dots labeled “More” and choose the Rivian app.
It’ll automatically send to Rivian after that. Once you do that a few times, your phone will put the Rivian app as a first choice.

Matthew Sun it worked thanks but it is a terrible way to do it I like to do more adding stops and it just is bad so I will just write address down for until they fix it

Jeffery Lewis I don't agree with your assessment at all. I find it very useful to be in the house or somewhere else and look up a place on my phone, and in a quick few clicks be able to send it to the R1.
Then when I get to the car it's already loaded on the maps.

Matthew Sun I like to map things out and add stops on my phone before sending it to my truck. But almost every other app let’s you paste an address in there app to search. it works, yes but it is not that great if your planning a trip, if I am going to one place works ok but could be better. That’s my opinion but no matter what it needs improvement and I contacted Rivian and they agreed with me, and said it should have already been able to paste in the app, and they are looking into it.
