Rivian Software Wishlist

The doors are airtight which is great for road noise, but makes closing doors harder. By automatically venting the window when the door is open it can ease closing the door. The vehicle can then automatically shut the window once the door is closed.

Can you add a mode like pet comfort, to keep climate on, but without the need to confirm (for pet safety) and without the pet comfort graphics on the screen? This would make enabling faster and avoid the awkwardness of the pet comfort screen when no pets are present.

I'm happy they've added battery pre-conditioning manually now in the energy screen while driving, but my use case would be when I'm in a cold area (Whistler for me) I would want to pre-condition the battery from the app while I'm still inside my home and then receive a notification when it's ready for optimal fast charging so I can drive over to the fast charger.

Currently music/podcasts are lowered in volume to play navigation instructions. Would be nice to have an option to pause the playing track. Particularly useful for podcasts or audio books where you don't want to miss what was said during nav instructions.

Use the windshield Wiper rain detection to automatically close open windows if it starts to rain.

Rivian waits until shortly after going into drive before it starts to raise the suspension. It would be helpful to have the option for the suspension to raise immediately once I've put the vehicle into reverse or drive to help with clearance and a smooth ride down the driveway.

For times when you have the back filled with stuff that obscures the rear window, a digital "rearview mirror" would be helpful by using the rear camera display while driving on either the main or driver display. I'm imagining more or a picture in picture or section of the screen so you can still use other display features instead of flipping to camera view which takes up the entire main display.

I have free charging at my place of work. Because of this, I prefer collecting as many free electrons there vs. at home. My current method is to either not plug in at home or to set my charge limit to 50% at home, and set it back up to 70% at the office. It would be nice if this could be automated (and easily override-able for when I do want to fully charge with my home charger)

We charge our R1S at home and at our cabin. Would be nice if I could set more than one "home" location for scheduled charging so it's honored at both locations.

After returning home from a trip, I got distracted with unpacking and forget to plug in my R1S. It would be helpful if Rivian could send a app reminder notification to charge when the vehicle returns home with a low state of charge (e.g., under 30%) and has not been plugged in within a short time frame (e.g., 10–15 minutes).
