Rivian Software Wishlist

In the moderate weather months I usually just run fresh air on the climate system. It would be faster if when the minus button was pushed down to 1 you could push it again to shut the system off. Right now you need to open the climate page to click it off. This would save time and be safer. Would like to be able to hit the "plus" button to kick it back on as well.

In my area, the old OpenStreetMap data and routing was much more accurate than Google Maps. Further, I'm trying to get away from Google as best as I can, so it was unfortunate (for me) when Google Maps became the only option for built-in navigation. It would be nice if we had the option to opt out and bring back OpenStreetMap-based navigation. Notably, OSM has much better off road and trail mapping pretty much everywhere I've seen, so it would be fantastic to bring it back for adventuring as well.

I love showing off our R1T for Halloween and Christmas, but it's sad when the each theme is only available for about a week before each holiday. I would like to request the entire month to be dedicated to each holiday! Including a Thanksgiving mode! I'm not even asking for much... just give me [optional] themed lock/unlock sounds at the very least. i.e. October 1st hits, I want to hear spooky ghost sounds. November 1st hits, I want to hear turkey gobbles. December 1st hits, I want to hear jingle bells. January 1st hits, back to normal. Please meet those of us that begin decorating for Christmas in September at the latest halfway! ;)

At night my passengers say the rear display is almost blinding at night. It would be nice to have a brightness slider on the rear display.

The R1S is great for car camping, but it's difficult to open/close the liftgate when you're inside the cargo area. (Currently you have to crawl between the front seats to reach the button on the infotainment screen.) How about adding a liftgate button to the rear screen when the vehicle is in camp mode? (There are probably other camp mode controls that'd be convenient there too, so please run with this. Just don't leave out the liftgate button! I need it!)

After returning home from a trip, I got distracted with unpacking and forget to plug in my R1S. It would be helpful if Rivian could send a app reminder notification to charge when the vehicle returns home with a low state of charge (e.g., under 30%) and has not been plugged in within a short time frame (e.g., 10–15 minutes).

Audible alerts from the proximity sensors should be directional, coming from the speaker closest the obstruction. If I’m about to back into something, I want my rear speakers beeping.

Many people prefer to have navigation without sound. Adjusting the volume should only affect the music or call volume, not the navigation volume. We need a toggle to prevent accidental increases in navigation volume when users only want to increase/decrease the music/call volume.

The clock is relatively small and far away from the driver for a quick look. It would be nice to have it on the screen behind the steering wheel.

Would like to have the ability to manually kneel the truck after parking. Right now, we either have to always kneel or we have to do workarounds such as putting the truck into sport mode. I do not always want to kneel when I am driving, since the height is fine for me. But there are times when I need to kneel the truck for my passengers.
