Low end music volume needs fine tuned

Gen 1 here , still same issue.

No, not fixed as of 10/2025. The gradation from 1 to 2, etc, is still too steep. It would be nice to have much finer adjustments, especially the low end.
El Capitan
Mike McCollum it does seem fixed for me in a Gen2 R1S with premium audio.
Mike McCollum
El Capitan great, hopefully they're making some incremental changes. It is certainly not fixed in Gen 1 R1S. Same issues now (with latest update) as all the comments below
El Capitan
Mike McCollum ugh, sorry to hear. (But not entirely surprising.)

MS don’t believe this is fixed for Gen 1 vehicles. While there seemed to be some audio improvements, this was not one of them.

MS no, not fixed

agreed, the jump from 1 to 2 needs to be refined. One you can barely hear and two is often too load.

Tidal volume
Michael Albers
Can we pls change tidal volume to be less sensitive. 1 not loud enough, 2 kinda loud, 3 too loud. Can we just have it use increments of 2db. Better yet let me configure the db level increase.

Radio Volume (from steering wheel) needs refinement
Reed Van Rozeboom
The radio volume (especially at the lower volumes) has large variances on each step. So the difference between 1-2 volume levels, and 2-3, are pretty large relative volume gains. I would love there to be finer control of these steps from the steering wheel. It seems like each step is either too soft or too loud (especially if I am speaking to another occupant in the car).

Radio volume

Please allow the radio volume to go up by a point each time because one is considered too low and two is too high. Need better increments for Volume

This is probably my #1 complaint about my Rivian because it impacts me nearly every time I'm driving, especially with other people in the car because the volume levels make conversations difficult (unless you turn it off).
Volume 1 is very low (probably a good volume 1), but Volume 2 is loud. There could be at least 3 or 4 steps of volume between what is currently volume 1 and volume 2.
A much more granular volume differential, particularly at low volumes, would make for a significant improvement in UX.

Agree! Need more steps between 1 and 7. I have never gone higher than 10, which is too loud and I thought it was the max. I am going to try Michael's advice about turning off dynamic sound, but we shouldn't have to fix it this way.
