Would be nice to have it lock overnight and then unlock at my scheduled departure time (well, because I park in a locked garage. Wouldn't want this if someone could just get in my vehicle if I parked in the driveway).

Already available in 2023.42 release. Though for when proximity lock/unlock are enabled there are some improvements planned.

This feature was added in the Nov '23 update.

Proximity locking at home now offers “Lock only” in the Settings > Vehicle> Access menu. You will see these three options for all active proximity keys:
* Lock and Unlock (default): Lock and unlock when at home.
* Lock only: Lock but don’t unlock when at home. With this setting, you must actively unlock the vehicle with a key.
* Off: Don’t lock or unlock when at home. With this setting, you must actively lock and unlock the vehicle with a key.

This is already an option.

Hello, new Gen2 R1S owner. The issue I see is that, if you are away from your home and STILL don’t want the doors to lock (i.e., you are at a family’s house and folks are going back and forth to the car), one needs the card or phone. I have not figured out a simple way to leave the car unlocked outside your home with proximity sensor turned on. It was recommended as a work around that I put it in Camp mode or just leave a door ajar.
Compounded by the lack of a key fob for the Gen2. Yes, mine came with no key fob. So, I must give the card or my phone to someone to unlock.
