Side view mirror "dip" in reverse

How do we still not have this yet? This is insane.

This definitely has to be optional with easy adjustment/override as needed. Sometimes it is useful and sometimes it is incredibly annoying depending on specific circumstances.

yes love this feature in my other vehicles, keeps rims from damage

Was given a Tesla as a loaner vehicle and I absolutely hate that the mirrors did that please make sure that there’s an option to turn that off

I actually prefer it doesn’t dip as the 360 camera has a button to show each wheel when parallel parking. The cameras actually change to show front wheels when in drive to rear wheels when in reverse…genius! I’ve had cars where the mirrors dip in reverse and then don’t return to normal when going from reverse to drive.

This is a must have item! Every modern car has this feature! Particularly for parallel parking, you have to see the curb in your right mirror. And NO, the cameras are not an option. They do not give a good perception of depth.

Had this on my Model Y and never used it because I didn't want to wear out the mirror motors. Could be useful in the R1T, but the mirrors already have good coverage.

Really, really, really need this feature along with better camera views for backing up and parking.

Upvote. Surprised this wasn’t a feature right from the factory.
